Digitalization and logistics have become the pillars of the Greater Eurasian Partnership

The introduction of artificial intelligence into the real sector of the EAEU economy is creating the foundation for technological sovereignty and a dramatic increase in the efficiency of cross-border supply chains. The integration of smart systems into resource and transport management is becoming a key factor for business survival in the global technology race.

Danil Ibraev, President of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (KUIE), presented the Union's digital transformation strategy.

– The introduction of AI in the national economy provides high added value and increases the efficiency of economic processes," – Ibraev emphasized, noting that the global AI sector has already generated significant economic benefits by the end of 2025.

The transition to the active phase of AI use is not a random event, but the result of the implementation of a strategy laid out in 2024-2025. Kazakhstan's 2026 presidency has firmly cemented AI as a top priority for the Union. Previously, at meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, heads of government repeatedly emphasized the need to remove barriers through digitalization.

As Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted at the EMPC meeting, "...further joint work to strengthen integration mechanisms is in the interests of all our states. We must continue to lift restrictions on the free movement of goods and services."

At the same time, the Union is beginning to form a "transport framework" integrated into the global system. This involves liberalizing cabotage shipping, which will allow freight transport to fulfill orders within other EAEU countries without returning empty, thereby reducing logistics costs for end consumers.

Analysts emphasize that the success of integration depends on the synchronicity of actions by businesses and government. Previously, in articles for Delovaya Eurasia, experts emphasized the importance of aligning national digitalization programs, as "...the creation of unified digital platforms based on AI will allow businesses to seamlessly cross borders, transforming the EAEU into a space with 'invisible barriers.'"

The importance of innovation has also been confirmed by national leaders. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov previously stated: "The active implementation of innovative technologies and digital solutions is the key to sustainable economic growth in the EAEU."

The current development vector of the EAEU confirms the transition from quantitative trade indicators to qualitative technological integration. The timely creation of AI infrastructure will ensure the competitiveness of Eurasian goods in the external markets of Greater Eurasia.

Industry business analytics in the field of Eurasian integration today document a paradigm shift: from the physical elimination of borders to their digital dissolution through flow management and optimization algorithms.
